Lori Baker

Director of Client Care

Lori Baker, Daybreak’s Director of Client Care, is a mother to three grown children, a mother-in-law to their spouses and a grandmother of four who affectionately call her, “LoLo.” She has been married to her high school sweetheart and best friend, Gary, for almost 40 years.

Lori has been involved in Pregnancy Resource Center ministry since 1991. She first began working as a volunteer client advocate at Savannah Care Center, then transitioned to the Board of Directors as a Fundraising Chairperson, and later became the center director from 1992-1993. During her time at Savannah Care Center, she attended an Abortion Recovery Weekend Retreat for women who had lost children to abortion, miscarriage and stillbirth. Lori had had an abortion in 1979 when she was 17 years old and was searching for God’s healing and forgiveness. During the retreat, after a several-year healing journey, God set her free from guilt and shame and now Lori endeavors to share that same freedom with other women who are abortion-wounded, through God’s Word and with the help of His Holy Spirit.

In addition to ministering to abortion-wounded women, Lori is blessed to be able to meet women and men who are faced with unexpected pregnancies and share the truth of LIFE (physical and spiritual) with them. She also loves catching up each month with new mothers, fathers and their babies who come in for baby supplies. Their stories of God’s grace and mercy move her, and Lori often remarks to her co-workers, “If only there had been a Daybreak for me when I was faced with a teenage pregnancy… how different things would have been for me and my baby!”
