Rev. Gregg Heinisch has been a Daybreak Board member for one year and is the husband of Mrs. Tiffany and father of two children (Aiyana & Zeke). He serves as the Senior Pastor at Temple Baptist Church in SE Columbia.

For 16 years, Gregg served as a firefighter in various departments around the state, most recently Columbia Fire Department – Rescue Co.1. During the course of his career as a firefighter and as a pastor, he has seen first hand the miracle of life.

That same miracle of life has been witnessed at Daybreak by the life-giving care that is given daily by the Daybreak Staff to the life-giving gospel that is shared with each and every client. This ministry breathes life into a community that is in need and fuels Gregg’s passion for the ministry work that is being done here.

Gregg comes from a line of generational servants as members of his family have served as an OB/GYN nurse in local hospitals and as counselors at a life care ministry in Myrtle Beach. He and his family have a passion for the unborn, desiring that all who have been created in the “Imago Dei” be cared for and loved just as God has intended.

By partnering with such an incredible ministry, Gregg has been able to see the gospel lived out in such a way that has inspired family, friends and congregations to reach far beyond the comforts of daily living in an effort to reach and care for our neighbors and the nations.
