Eddie Benton

Chairman of the Board

Eddie Benton has been affiliated with Daybreak for over 10 years, serving 7 years as a member of the Board of Directors and 3 years as the Executive Director. He and his wife Sabrina are natives of Myrtle Beach and have been married since 1977. They are the parents of 3 children and grandparents to 2. In his business career, Eddie has worked with a number of law firms in both a full-time and consultative capacity and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for a local firm.

An ordained elder in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, he is member of First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, where he teaches in the Young Families Sunday School class. He is involved in prison ministry through Columbia International University’s “Prison Initiative” and leads Bible studies to men through the Ezra Journey study. He serves on the Board of the First Presbyterian Church Christian Counseling Center and has coached the boys’ varsity tennis teams at two local high schools.

Passionate about Daybreak’s efforts to save innocent lives from abortion and assist those facing unplanned pregnancies, Eddie is willing and eager to speak to any church or group interested in learning more about Daybreak’s work and mission.
