Xaviera Latta is a wife, mother, educator, and the founder of Jacoby’s Shield, a Christ-centered organization providing compassionate grief support in schools, churches, workplaces, and communities. With experience as both a special education teacher and district level administrator, she has a heart for creating safe spaces where individuals—especially children and families—can process grief with dignity, faith, and hope. Her own journey through personal loss inspired her to step into this calling and serve others walking similar paths. Xaviera has a deep belief in the comfort found in Christ and she is committed to educating the support systems of those grieving while reminding those on the journey of loss that they are seen, loved and never alone.

Xaviera Latta has been part of the Daybreak Lifecare Center family since 2022, originally drawn by the center’s mission to walk alongside women and families facing unplanned pregnancies with the love of Christ. She currently serves as a member on the vision and personnel committees where she brings her passion for encouragement, healing, and community to the heart of the ministry.

She is honored to serve in a space where the message is clear: every life is valuable, and no one has to walk through hardship alone.
